Grapegrower Relations

Wine Industry Relations Committee (WIRC)

WIRC consists of winemaker and grapegrower representatives from the Winemakers' Federation of Australia (WFA) and the former Winegrape Growers' Council of Australia.

This committee was formed in 2001 to develop industry-endorsed best practice arrangements regarding fruit standards and winery / grower relationships. Its membership comprised representatives of WFA and the WGCA. Since the dissolution of the WGCA in 2004, members of Wine Grape Growers Australia (WGGA) have represented grapegrowers on the committee.
