Wine Tourism
WFA plays a lead role in developing the capacity for sustainable wine tourism at an industry and individual winery level, including skills development of cellar door and hospitality staff.
In March 2010 we began a 12-month project to revise and update the
National Wine Tourism Strategy and develop new templates to assist wineries to develop new tourism experience.

We also represent the wine industry on the
National Tourism Alliance and contribute to the development of a Wine Tourism Training Package through Tourism Training Australia.
Our other major initiative is the delivery of wine tourism training, workshops and seminars as part our
WineSkills Program. The focus is on the development of practical skills in areas such as merchandising, brand development and customer service.
