Research can be used to gain more information about the people who are currently visiting your winery, what their expectations are and how to reach them. Information like this is important when planning your cellar door services, facilities and promotional activity. It can also help identify why people may not be visiting your winery and provide suggestions as to how you might be able to change this situation.
WFA has developed a central database of wine tourism publications and research. It contains information on research papers, articles, journals, conference proceedings and books related to wine tourism. The intention is to facilitate easier access to existing information and encourage greater coordination and collaboration related to wine tourism research activities.
