Wine Industry Code of Conduct

Wine Industry Code of Condct

The Wine Industry Code of Conduct was established in December 2008, developed by WFA and Australian Vignerons (formally Wine Grape Growers Australia (WGGA)) with support from the Federal Government's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

The Code of Conduct is administered by an independent Code Secretariat, which has its own website with information about operations, processes and a list of current signatories.

It has two main aims:

  • to establish a common Australian wine grape supply contract framework
  • to provide a dispute resolution system to manage disagreements which arise over price or quality assessments.
