|
The proposed working paper is an exploratory piece of writing on the role of food and wine
trails within tourism, largely based upon previous studies and industry reports. Viewed from an
Australian perspective, the exploratory approach, ‘… seeks to discover existing research which
might throw light on a specific research question or issue’ (Veal 1997, p. 84). In this case the
issue is the role of food and wine trails as cooperative marketing devices, or tourist attractions,
and the connection to the potential tourist.
