Setting Directions

WFA is the peak national body representing Australia’s winemakers and plays a significant role in the development of policy that directly and indirectly affects the wine industry. In the current environment this includes a particular focus on taxation policy and health and social responsibility initiatives.

We were a joint partner in developing the Wine Australia: Directions to 2025 strategy released in 2007 and the lead partner in the development and delivery of the Wine Restructuring Action Agenda (WRAA) during 2009/10.

We jointly coordinate the successful Future Leaders Program, which helps to develop the next generation of wine industry leaders through tailored training programs, and run the biennial Wine Outlook Conference.
