Many training options are available. These include traineeships, nationally accredited certificates, diploma and degree courses, short courses and workshops. Many can be tailored for individual wineries and delivered in-house by consultants or training providers.
The good news is that the National Training Authority has approved a range of training packages that the wine tourism industry can utilise.

Training packages
Training packages can usually be "mixed and matched" to suit the needs of a particular enterprise. For example, you might want to incorporate specific units from the Cellar Door Training Package, but because you run a restaurant, you might also include some units from the Hospitality package.
To be effective in the long term, training should be incorporated into your Business Plan. A model shows the relationship between your overall business planning and your training planning. Continuous improvement should be the goal of any business, and training your staff is an important component of this process.
