WFA and WGGA are updating the database of Independent Experts available under the Australian Wine Industry Code of Conduct to make a determination where a dispute rises over price or quality assessment.

 

Disputing parties jointly make an appointment. If they cannot agree, the Code Administration Committee does so.

 

An Independent Expert must be a qualified winemaker or viticulturalist, with a minimum of five years’ experience in vineyard and winegrape assessment, and have significant commercial experience in assessing and grading wine grapes and in contract arrangements.

 

To apply to become an Independent Expert complete the application form and submit it to WFA with your Curriculum Vitae. Contact details are included on the form.

 

Appointments are made by the Code Management Committee, which comprises grape grower, winemaker, WFA and WGGA representatives.
