This is the ninth year that the Winemakers' Federation of Australia (WFA) has joined forces with Deloitte to undertake an annual financial benchmarking survey of Australian wine companies.
The survey focuses on the financial performance of small to medium sized wine companies and participants are provided with a detailed report that benchmarks their financial performance against comparable Australian and US industry standards.
Due to the lack of publicly available financial performance data for small to medium wine companies, the survey has the potential to become a powerful industry management tool. Benchmarking financial performance enables management to identify where company operations exceed or fall short of industry standards.
Every winery that participates will receive an individual winery report from Deloitte benchmarking their performance against similar-sized Australian wineries.
In addition, the survey results are used by WFA to lobby in support
of the industry's ongoing development.
WFA and Deloitte have spent considerable time and resources in
establishing this survey and WFA strongly encourages Australian
wine companies to participate.
How can I take part?
The 2007 Deloitte Annual Financial Benchmarking Survey brochure is available to download from the link below for your information.
For the first time ever, the survey is available in a convenient online format. Simply click the link below to be taken to the electronic form.
Small wineries are also being offered the chance to take part in the survey by completing the non-financial questions on the online survey and then uploading a copy of their Trial Balance (in excel or pdf format) from which Deloitte will extract the relevant information for the survey.
You can also download the original excel version of the document to fill in and then return to Deloitte. Click the link below to download the form.
